Richard D. James Album Fancover

In this personal project, I gave myself the task of reimagining the cover for a music album, as well as some other printed material that comes with it. I chose the album: Richard D. James Album, by Aphex Twin, on of my favorites from the artist. My goal was not to surpass the original, since it is such an iconic cover. My goal was only attempting to represent visually some of the feelings this record brings me in a personal way.

To me, this record fills me with feelings that are hard to describe. The music brings back memories of childhood, of growing, in moments a warm feeling. In other moments the album changes, the music becomes dark or hides behind frenzied beats. I can't help but think about the passing of my own life. Time drags us forward violently and without stopping but in the background of the wild rush, in moments, we can feel the currents we navigate. In a certain way I find here a sense of peace, I think of how we are all trying to do what we can while we can, and in between it all we are able to see a little bit of beauty.
